A delegation from the Bank of Ceylon (BOC), led by Chairman Mr. Kavinda de Zoysa,
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Y.A. Jayathilaka, and Country Manager Mr. Rajith Thushantha, paid a courtesy call on the Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Seychelles, Ms. Manisha P Perera, at the High Commission in Victoria on 14th October 2025.
The Acting High Commissioner commended the Bank for its continued contribution to
strengthening Sri Lanka–Seychelles economic relations, as well as for its support to local
enterprises and the Sri Lankan community in Seychelles. The delegation reaffirmed BOC’s
commitment to promoting responsible banking practices and to further enhancing bilateral
economic cooperation.
Established in 2014, BOC Seychelles remains the only Sri Lankan bank operating on the African continent, serving key sectors such as tourism, fisheries, construction, and trade.
